Electric Pianos

Electric pianos with nothing else bolted on. A tine piano hits a steel tine and reads it with a magnetic pickup; a reed piano plucks or strikes a metal reed; a modelling instrument recreates either in software. All of them do one sound and live or die by how well they do it. Compare the tone source first, then the key count and the action, and remember that a passive instrument needs an amplifier before it makes any noise at all.
