Markus Resch's digital Mellotron: the sounds come straight from the first-generation master tapes, and the real trick is the wooden, Mellotron-sized keyboard, which senses how far each key is pressed so notes swell in the way tape does against the head. At 17.5 kg it goes on tour far more easily than an M400, and the 8-second note limit is kept on purpose.
