A Mk II rebuilt for the BBC as a sound-effects machine, with more than a thousand effects on tape. It has split head blocks and transistor preamps for lower noise, a quieter DC motor and electromagnetic track selection. It was a broadcast tool first, but Abbey Road owned one, which is why it turns up in Beatles history.
